This Badjao community of sea nomads, people-fish, inhabiting between the Philippines, Borneo and Indonesia. For centuries they lived like fish, spending most of his life in the water. Badjao children learn faster swim than walk, and the adults had perfected the difficult art of free-diving. They are able to walk and hunt on the ocean floor, holding his breath for several minutes. Their eyes are adapted for sharp vision underwater. The collision with the modern civilization of their life is changing rapidly. Those without any documents nomads are often treated as illegal immigrants. The islets, on which hundreds of years lived (and drew drinking water) are sold under the closed luxury resorts. Badjao are not allowed there. Ousted for clustered around the cities of slums, inevitably they lose their skills. 10-year-old Sari takes his studies with his uncle Alex's last deep-sea diver on the island of Mabul. Alexan decides to refer his workshop Sariemu because it can not accept the idea that under the influence of western civilization the world of his ancestors disappears. It teaches him not only dangerous art of diving using tubes and air compressors, but also reveals the magical legends and customs Badjao.
